What is the minimum age for enrollment in the Madrasah?

The minimum age for enrollment is 5 years old (Year 1). We welcome young learners who are eager to embark on their educational journey in a nurturing Islamic environment.

Our teachers undergo a rigorous selection process, considering their educational qualifications, Islamic knowledge, and teaching experience. We prioritize individuals with a passion for fostering a positive and supportive learning atmosphere.

Our curriculum encompasses a comprehensive range of subjects, including Quranic studies, Islamic principles, Arabic language, and more. We strive to provide a well-rounded education that nurtures both religious and academic growth. Please see *What We Offer* section.

Yes, we offer various extracurricular activities such as Islamic workshops, community events, and educational outings. These activities are designed to complement the students’ learning and promote holistic development.

Online madrasah is £430 per academic  year

Onsite madrasah is £470 per academic year

Pure Hifdh is £650 per academic year

We do not have sibling discounts as the Madrasah fees are already highly competitive.

No, this is an additional program which some students may choose to attend after completing their Quran and Islamic studies.

Students can choose to attend the Pure Hifdh Programme, however there is another application process for this.

Islamic Studies is taught according to the academic year group your child is in.

Qur’an is taught according to ability. Depending on your child’s level, they will either be in Qaida, Reading, or Hifdh.

A learning plan will be put in place with agreement from all those involved; the child, the parents and the teacher. The learning plan will then be monitored periodically and any feedback or changes made will be communicated to all.

Your child will be taught in groups for Islamic Studies.

For Quran lessons, if your child is in Years 1-4 and enrolled on the onsite programme, he/she will be taught in groups, but if he/she is enrolled on the online programme, he/she will be taught 1-to-1.

For Year 5-8, Quran lessons will be taught 1-to-1.

For Pure Hifdh, children are taught in groups, onsite.

We follow the Qur’an and Sunnah according to the understanding of the Salaf.

We use licensed Zoom accounts that are password protected with robust security settings for teachers and admins to ensure disruption-free virtual classes.

We regularly communicate with parents on ClassDojo.

Reports are sent to parents throughout the year and parents evening is held twice a year.

Online madrasah is Option 1: £600 and option 2: £552 per academic  year

GLM Madrasah offers a 10% third sibling discount.

How can parents stay informed about their child's progress?

We maintain regular communication through parent-teacher meetings, progress reports, and our online portal Teach n Go. Parents can stay actively involved in their child’s educational journey and contact our teachers for continuous monitoring of child’s behaviour and progress.

The safety and well-being of our students is paramount. We have implemented strict security protocols, conduct regular safety drills, and ensure a secure learning environment under the supervision of trained staff, and all our staff undergo regular safeguarding training.

Our ”On-site madrassah” is open to students aged 5 to 14 (Years 1–8), and our  Online provision  extends to students aged 5 to 16 (Years 1–11).

Yes, Parents have the option to split the total cost into manageable monthly payments. Additionally, there is a payment break during Ramadan and in August to accommodate families during these months.

 

GLM Madrasah is open from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. However, lesson timings may vary depending on the class.

Each day, students attend two 1 hour 30 mins Islamic Studies lessons and two 1-to-1 Quran sessions each week.

Your child will be given Quran homework each lesson and Islamic Studies homework once a week.

The madrassah runs for 38 weeks per year. We have a two week holiday in winter, and 5 weeks off for Ramadan and Eid.

Our Quran classes will be taught 1 to1 or in group of three students

The Madrasah’s aims are to fulfil the obligation of seeking knowledge in a caring and secure Islamic environment to endorse excellent manners and nurture future leaders of our community.

Our well-structured curriculum, behaviour policy and rewarding system aids us in encouraging excellent manners and moral conduct. We aim to instil true love for the deen within each of our students, as well as respect, compassion and care for others.

We recognise the great importance of the partnership between home and the Madrasah in producing well-rounded confident Muslims; we firmly believe that collectively we can offer a unique education to our children.
